PROVIDENCE has been consistently developing cables that meet the sound quality requirements and the characteristics of the different musical instruments and equipment they are used with. As the name implies, the "Microphone Cable Series" are microphone cables that PROVIDENCE has developed exclusively for recording purposes in order to meet the various requirements for recording equipment which have been evolving at an accelerated pace.
Recently, digital recorders or digital mixers which are widely used in various recording sessions, whether it be by professionals or amateurs, or personal recording by means of a DAW using a computer, have become mainstream in the recording world. Because of such recording trends, use of effectors and microphones that can offer high performance and high sound quality are also required. Under such circumstances, the need for microphone cables that meet the requirements for such high performance and high sound quality equipment has also become important.
ĦR301 for Recording
The "R301 for Recording" is a microphone cable model that was developed in line with the goal of developing products which fulfill the requirements of two conflicting extreme scenarios: i.e., offering the optimal design for digital recording, while still producing "a warm sound with a human touch".
As a result of placing the top priority on achieving these goals, we boldly ventured into the use of non-OFC materials for cores and shields for the first time at PROVIDENCE. We also developed a product capable of producing a wider sound range even when used with dynamic microphones in the same manner as with condenser microphones and, furthermore, one that offers a level of usability that is a cut above other such cables.
The connectors available for the "R301 for Recording" are NC3FXX-B/NC3MXX-B of NEUTRIK and PROVIDENCE NP-14G which offer a selection from A-type (made of aluminum which is a lighter material and offers good sound projection) and B-type (made of brass which emphasizes sound quality). In addition, an abundant line up of 24K-plated MID type connectors, including RCA, TRS PHONE, MINI TRS PHONE, etc., are available to meet diversified requirements. Also, a wide variation of cable lengths is available and PATCH cables are available as well.

ĦR302
The R302 is an entry level model available at a reasonable price, yet offering a performance level that almost equals that of the R301, which is a somewhat higher performance model than the R302.
In the same manner as the R301, when the R302 is used with a dynamic microphone, it can produce a wider sound range equal to that of the sound range produced using a condenser microphone and offers a higher level of usability. The R302 is a microphone cable that was developed to achieve the goal of "developing products that match the requirements of two conflicting extreme scenarios (i.e., having the optimal design for digital recording while still producing "a warm sound with a human touch").
The connectors available for the R302 are NC3FXX/NC3MXX of NEUTRIK and PROVIDENCE NP-14 which offer a selection from A-type (made of aluminum which is a lighter material and offers good sound projection) and B-type (made of brass which emphasizes sound quality). Also, nickel-plated MID type connectors, including TRS PHONE and MIDI are available. Also, a wide variation of cable lengths is available and PATCH cables are available as well.
