Godlyke exhibited Providence products at NAMM
|
Godlyke, our official distributor in the USA, had a booth at NAMM 2011 (http://www.namm.org/thenammshow/2011) where they displayed and demonstrated Providence products. They made a special Providence effector board and visitors could try out Providence pedals. It attracted a lot of attention from visitors and the Godlyke booth was packed with many visitors who came to see the Providence products.
Also, Matt Schofield, Guthrie Govan and Carl Verheyen visited the booth to try out our new drive Providence Flame Drive FDR-1F. We would like to introduce some of the highlights of the NAMM 2011 show.

Godlyke staff were busy answering questions for a magazine interview. The interview lasted about an hour and focused on the characteristics and functions of Providence pedals. They also did a sound check of Providence pedals.
|
Yuki Hayashi, chief development engineer, exchanged a lot of detailed information with Matt about his settings for Providence effectors, especially the Stampede OD (SOV-2).
Matt loves the Stampede SOV-2 but he also fell in love with the new Flame Drive FDR-1F as soon as he tried it. Matt will try it out in his system in the future.

Masaki Murashita of the USA metal band Hemoptysis
|
Last year, Mr. Masaki Murashita who endorses Providence products, visited the Providence head office.
Although he has the appearance of a nice, clean-cut and polite young man, he is the vocalist and guitarist of the metal band Hemoptysis, from the Phoenix area of Arizona, in the United States.
They have opened shows for Warbringer, Obituary, Krisiun and Goatwhre, and were named Metal Artist of the Year by Phoenix/Los Angeles Music Awards. The band is actually a unique combination of Japanese and American artists who are rapidly expanding the evolution of their music.
We received quotes on the Providence Sonic Drive SDR-5 and Chrono Delay DLY-4 from Masaki, and he also sent us a video introducing his gear including Providence products.
"The SDR-5 is a versatile over drive pedal. Rich and warm gain with low noise, and the best part is your tone is still there without getting blurred. The SDR-5 is the way to go."
"The Chrono Delay is the future of the compact Delay pedal. Easy to find your favorite setting though it has many different options to choose from. Just like the other pedals, your tone is still there and so clean. This is my new weapon."
We look forward his continued success and prosperity in the United States as a Japanese metal artists.

Matt Schofield Interview by Guitarist Magazine
|
British Bluesman Matt Schofield is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive and innovative guitarists to have emerged on the world scene for several generations. In an interview in the December issue of Guitarist Magazine, he made a great comment on the Providence Stampede OD SOV-2.
Here we would like to introduce part of his interview.
Q: And effects- we know you don't tend to use many....
A: The best overdrive I've ever found is a Providence SOV-2 from Japan. I've red some cool reviews of their pedals in Guitarist and I've been using them for six or seven years. I got this one three or four years ago and it's untouchable I think.
Thanks Matt for your support of Providence!!

Providence pedals selected
"Guitarist Choice"
by Guitarist Magazine in UK.
The Providence Heat Blaster HBL-2, Anadime Chorus ADC-3 and Chrono Delay DLY-4 were reviewed by David Durban in Guitarist magazine, a monthly music magazine published by Future Publishing in the United Kingdom.
Guitarist magazine was launched in 1984, making it the longest-running guitar magazine in Europe. In 2008 the magazine celebrated its 300th issue and in late-2009 it celebrated its 25th Anniversary.
All of the pedals received a very positive review and high ratings and we are extremely pleased that the Heat Blaster HBL-2 and the Chrono Delay DLY-4 received the "Guitarist Choice" award in the latest issue. We are very proud to introduce the review in Guitarist magazine here!
